In the Tang Dynasty, a demon cat shows up and disturbs Chang’an City, resulting in a series of strange happenings. Poet Bai Letian and Monk Kukai came together to examine the death of Concubine Yang by following the trail marks of the cat, disclosing a buried fact.

My Take:
Although The Thousand Faces of Dunjia has many visual effects and martial art fight scenes, the movie still lacks comedy. Humor might have made this movie more entertaining to watch. It seems that there are so many things going on in this film that the audience might not get really focused on its storyline.
