Something big is going to happen in the Kaiju world and the third movie sequel of the Monsterverse. How it is possible for Godzilla to walk again and fight for humanity's survival.

Long live the king! Godzilla has been dormant for four years after the release of the Kong movie, but this summer, Godzilla is finally making a grand return and will prove that he is the king of the monsters over towering over his arch nemesis King Ghidorah, and other two titans Mothra and Rodan.

Here's the trailer of the Godzilla: King of the Monsters

What to expect on Godzilla2: King of the Monsters?

Godzilla's Old Spikes Revived

Photo from Legendary Pictures

Michael Dougerty is set to direct the film, and one of the tweaks that he added on the film is Godzilla's old spikes from the old 1954 look which brings the origins of the monster in a much cooler way blending with light blue spikes.

Dougherty explained:

With Godzilla, I really liked what [director Gareth Edwards] had done in the previous film with Godzilla's look, so I just wanted to make tiny tweaks, like changing his back spikes to look like the 1954 Godzilla. These, in particular, were taken right off the back of the original 1954 Godzilla. So I took Photoshop, and just photoshopped these spikes onto the back of Gareth's film.

Clash of the Titans (Confirmed Titans)

(Picture of Godzilla with Mothra, Rodan, and of course King Ghidorah here)
While Godzilla has defeated the MUTOs back in 2014, this time around, he will face-off with his archnemesis King Ghidorah and more well-known foes, which will for sure eliminate the human race, but is a much awaited moment for Godzilla fans who will enjoy watching the monsters clash in CGI.

  • King Ghidorah

It is expected from the final carve drawings of monsters from the Kong: Skull Island post-credit scenes are about to become a reality when Godzilla will face his ultimate nemesis in this movie and this will be the 6th time that the two will clash on the big screen.

King Ghidorah's three heads have its own different personality and like Godzilla, he can also shoot gravity beams and lightning strikes from his mouth, giving Godzilla's atomic breath a challenge. Like Rodan and Mothra, King Ghidorah can fly with superiority.

King Ghidorah's notable aliases are  "Monster Zero", "King of the Void" from the Netflix animation, and the Golden King.

In this movie, we've seen King Ghidorah frozen in ice and later stretching its wings, runs, and clashes with Godzilla in the second trailer of the movie. But a lot of reviews saying that King Ghidorah will be the final or presumably the "Thanos" of the Monsterverse. I would expect Destroyah to be part of the Monsterverse because he has given Burning Godzilla a run before he died in that movie.

Directory Michael Dougerty also promises that this will be an epic clash for the both and a showdown that we will never forget.

  • Rodan

In this movie, we've seen Rodan emerging from a volcano flying over a city with devastation on its wings. Rodan also shows he's flying capabilities by dashing through a group of fighter jets and strikes with its claws.

Resembling a fiery pterodactyl, Rodan will be much bigger and more devastating in the movie compared from his 1956 debut. Though Rodan has started his own stand-alone movie but doesn't have much success, the fiery titan later joined the Godzilla franchise and listed as one Godzilla's formidable foe.

Although Rodan might be an ally on this movie as we have seen from Godzilla's past movies that he usually helps Godzilla fighting King Ghidorah.

Mothra

In this movie, Mothra has seen on her larva form and moving towards Millie Bobby Brown's hand, letting the humans know that she's an ally or a friend. There's a scene where Mothra unfolding her "Avatar" luminescent wings behind a waterfall and later flying in the sky charging to Godzilla or King Ghidorah on the second trailer. No doubt, that she's the most graceful titans we have seen in this movie.

Just like Rodan, Mothra could be an ally in this movie and will possibly collide with Godzilla regardless of King Ghidorah's existence.

Although Godzilla and Mothra battled before from their 1992 movie "Godzilla vs. Mothra"  but later fought together against Battra. This movie was listed as one of the popular Toho movie franchises.

More Titan Appearances and Action on the film

We will expect fireworks and a whole bunch monster clashes in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The highly anticipated Monsterverse sequel will be action-packed and less actor drama on the film. The director promises and complies on the bad movie reviews that Godzilla 2014 has and as we all know, there's less of Godzilla and more heroic antics of the U.S soldiers.

Kong will be on the movie (A possibility?)

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Director Michael Dougherty confirmed that a character from Kong: Skull Island will be on the Godzilla 2 movie. Although he doesn't reveal who, but he left people jumping to theories that he will bring back Kong.

Dougherty explained:

We do bring back one character from Kong: Skull Island
